Watershed Overview: Pine River-Van Etten Lake
Pine River-Van Etten Lake Watershed
Pine River-Van Etten Lake Watershed
The Pine River begins in Alcona County, flows in a southeast direction for 25 miles where it widens into Van Etten Lake, a man-made impoundment. The watershed is 292 square miles with forestry and farming as the predominate land types. Approximately, 33% of the watershed lies within the Huron National Forest.
