| Land Stewardship |
Our land stewardship program at Huron Pines is geared toward working with private landowners to help manage and protect ecologically important properties in our service area. We promote the use of all available conservation tools in this effort, especially emphasizing the work and programs available through our partner organizations.
We have also been partnering with other groups to get some hands-on conservation work done in ecologically sensitive areas.
Our primary areas of focus are the bufferzone surrounding Pigeon River Country State Forest and sensitive areas along the Lake Huron coast.
Through our Conservation First Responder program, we can meet with landowners throughout our 11-county service area. If you have any questions regarding land management, please contact our office. |
