AmeriCorps

Michigans AmericorpsHuron Pines AmeriCorps is a program designed to provide northern Michigan conservation organizations with highly qualified individuals for a term of volunteer service. Not only are conservation organizations better able to protect Michigan’s natural resources, the service also provides real‐world experiences and training so that members develop as leaders in conservation.

Huron Pines AmeriCorps gives individuals the opportunity to develop real-world skills, increase experience, and network with other resource professionals, and to have a real impact on northern Michigan by completing conservation projects that otherwise would not be done.

With a living stipend and other benefits, this program provides an opportunity to develop as a professional in the conservation community. AmeriCorps members have been placed in northern Michigan with a variety of nonproft conservation organizations to assist with volunteer engagement, habitat restoration, environmental stewardship and developing new conservation services.
